Fear not, I am with you; be not dismayed; I am your God.  I will strengthen you, and help you, and uphold you with my right hand of justice.

Consider this:  whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

If running against men has wearied you, how will you race against horses?

The nation’s wise men shall instruct the many; though for a time they will become victims of the sword, of flames, of exile, and plunder.   

Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and his mighty power.  Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil.  For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness…

You came to my aid when I called to you; you said, “Have no fear!”  You defended me in mortal danger, you redeemed my life.

One night in a vision the Lord said to Paul, “Do not be afraid.  Go on speaking, and do not be silent, for I am with you.  No one will attack and harm you, for I have many people in this city.”  He settled there for a year and a half and taught the word of God among them.

Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in prayer.

The strong man shall turn to tow, and his work shall become a spark; both shall burn together, and there shall be none to quench the flames.

Accept whatever befalls you, in crushing misfortune be patient; For in fire gold is tested, and worthy men in the crucible of humiliation.
